Acupuncture Treatment Fees

EVOLVE Acupuncture offers private, individualized treatments to our patients.  Our rates are comparable in the area based on experience. 

Current fees can be found on the scheduling system.

Dr. Mike Tocco, LAc, RN has been in practice since 2011 which includes 8-years of hospital-based acupuncture experience and is familiar with treating complex medical conditions with acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Sessions last for approximately 45-50 minutes.

We accept all forms of payment, including cash, credit card, AMEX, and flexible spending FSA/HSA debit cards. Our EHR system integrates with Stripe for no contact and secure payment.

Insurance and Acupuncture Coverage

If your health insurance covers acupuncture for out-of-network benefits, a detailed invoice or super bill can be provided at time of payment.  This can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement directly to you. 

Some out-of-network insurance plans cover acupuncture for nausea and musculo-skeletal pain such as neck pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, low back pain, or headache.  This does not guarantee coverage if we provide you with a super bill after payment.

EVOLVE Acupuncture is out-of-network with ALL insurance plans. If you have acupuncture benefits, verify with your provider if you can see an out of network provider like Mike Tocco, LAc at EVOLVE Acupuncture. 

EVOLVE Acupuncture is NOT in-network with Medicare for low back pain. Contact Medicare directly for a list of in-network acupuncture providers.

Helpful Information to Use to Contact Your Insurance Company

Here is some helpful information to determine if you have acupuncture coverage with your private health insurance. 

1. Ask if you have coverage for out-of-network acupuncture.
2. Ask if you need pre-authorization from the insurance company to start acupuncture.
3. Verify if there is a co-pay or deductible to meet before acupuncture is covered.
4. Verify if your co-pay / deductible is different for an out-of-network provider.
5. Ask how many acupuncture visits you get in a calendar year.
6. You may be asked for acupuncture CPT codes and a diagnosis.  Use: CPT - 97810 & 97811 and diagnosis M54.50 for low back pain or M54.2 for neck pain as examples.

EVOLVE Acupuncture can provide you with a detailed super bill that you can submit to your insurance company after payment.
